St Catherine's Lodge Hotel, 9-12 St Catherine's Terrace, Hove BN3 2RZ
History
St Catherine's has had many different uses over the years, including as a private school, a hotel and most recently as a homeless hostel. The building is currently disused and in need of significant repairs.

Who we are
We are local property developers, based in Hove, with over 25 years’ experience of residential and commercial development schemes.

Our plan
Our plan is to convert St Catherine’s into 36 new, high quality homes for Hove. The conversion will have a mix of one and two bed apartments.

The building is in a desirable location, benefitting from direct sea views and within easy reach of Hove’s thriving independent shops and cafes. The site is adjacent to the historic thoroughfare of Kingsway, which runs parallel to the seafront north of King’s Esplanade.
The proposal for a sustainable, residential development offers an opportunity to enhance the look and feel of the street scene and contribute positively to the economic impact of the area. Overall, the scheme offers a 10.2% biodiversity net gain.

Timescale
A planning application was submitted to Brighton & Hove City Council in December 2023 and has now been validated. The application number is BH2023/03293.
